The short version. EduBaby does not collect anything from your child. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers and no cookies. Your child's settings stay in your own browser or device. The one exception is optional and yours to choose: if you press Have the teacher say the name, the first name you typed is sent once so it can be recorded, and we do not keep it. Details below.

Children's privacy (COPPA)
EduBaby is designed for children roughly 12 months to 4 years old, which makes it a service directed to children under 13 under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We have built it so that the question of children's data barely arises:
- We do not collect personal information from children. Nothing your child does in the app is transmitted anywhere.
- We do not use persistent identifiers for advertising, analytics, profiling or cross-site tracking.
- The only thing that can ever leave the device is a first name, and only when a parent chooses to send it (see Hearing your child's name). We never collect a child's photograph, voice, contact details or location.
- There is no advertising of any kind, behavioural or contextual, and no third-party ad SDKs.
- There is no chat, no social feature, no user-generated content and no way for a child to communicate with anyone through EduBaby.
What is stored, and where
EduBaby saves a small amount of information so it remembers your choices between sessions. All of it lives in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. None of it is stored by us.

Hearing your child's name (optional)
Under the name field there is a button, Have the teacher say the name. Nothing is sent unless a parent presses it. When you do:
- What is sent: the first name exactly as you typed it (or the spell it how it sounds version, if you used it) and which voice you picked. Nothing else: no age, no teacher, no account and no device identifier.
- Where it goes: to our own server at api.myedubaby.com, hosted by Render, which asks our voice provider, ElevenLabs, Inc., to speak a few fixed lines such as "Great job, Alaya!" and sends the audio straight back to your device.
- What is kept: our server does not store or log the name. We ask ElevenLabs for the audio with its no-logging option, so the request and recordings are not saved to our ElevenLabs account. ElevenLabs may still keep limited operational and safety records under its own privacy policy. The recordings themselves are saved only on your device.
- Your IP address is seen by our server, as with any web request. It is held in memory for up to one hour, only to limit how many recordings one connection can make, and it is never written to disk or logged.
- If you change the voice later, the same name is recorded again in the new voice. A different name is never sent unless you press the button again.
- To remove it, clear or change the name in Settings. The recordings are deleted from your device.
Third parties
While your child is using EduBaby, the app makes no requests to any third-party service. Everything it needs is served from our own domain. There are no analytics providers, no advertising networks, no font or script CDNs, and no embedded social media. The only outside service involved anywhere is ElevenLabs, reached by our server and only when you choose to have the name recorded, as described above.
We verify this: our release checks record every network request the app makes and confirm that they all go to our own domains and nowhere else.
Hosting
The site and the name server are run on Render (Render Services, Inc.). Like any web host, Render's infrastructure processes the technical information inherent in delivering a web page, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability. We do not use this for analytics, profiling or advertising, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are not yet available. When they are, payment will be handled by Stripe, and the person paying will be a parent or guardian, never a child. Card details will go directly to Stripe and will not be stored by us. This section will be updated with full detail before any payment can be taken, and a purchase will always sit behind a parental gate.
Your rights as a parent
Apart from a name you choose to have recorded, which we do not keep, nothing leaves your device. So there is no account for us to look up and nothing for us to delete on our side. You are in complete control:
- To review or change what is stored, open Settings in the app (press and hold the gear icon).
- To erase everything, clear your browser's site data for this site, or uninstall the app. That removes the name, the recordings, the settings and the cached content permanently.
- To ask us anything, including whether we hold any information about you, email privacy@myedubaby.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what EduBaby does with data, in particular if we add accounts or payments, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
